Teaching support

Geochemistry, Isotopic Archaeology (Prof.ssa Paola Iacumin 2008/2009 – 2009/2010 - 2010/2011 - 2011/2012 - 2013/2014)

Research themes

Applications of stable isotope to:

• mammal skeletal remains to investigate: diets, ecology, paleoclimates, paleoenvironments and migrations

• several materials (plants, sediments…) for climatic reconstructions

Analytical and experimental Techniques:

- Finnigan delta S isotope mass spectrometer for δ13C and δ18O measurement

- Continuous-flow Finnigan delta plus XP mass spectrometer

- EA/NA-1100 CHN configuration (Thermo Finnigan) for δ13C and δ15N measurement

- TC/EA (temperature combustion/elemental analyzer) for δ18O measurement
